Various predefined data can be configured as default data to support the distribution process.

The following preparation is recommended:

Define a default organization, address, remarks, and media type for distribution orders and transmittals in System Defaults > Distribution. If a system generated distribution order / transmittal number is required, an appropriate numbering mask must be defined in System Defaults > Identification. For details, see Defining Default System Settings .

• Define a list of distribution reasons to be selected by users when defining new distribution items. See To Configure the List of Distribution Reasons .
• Optionally, predefine distribution lists to facilitate the automatic creation of distribution item entries.
• Optionally, predefine document copies beforehand to make these available to satisfy the incoming requests. AssetWise can, however, automatically create the necessary copies during the distribution process, if copies are nonexistent or unavailable.
